
Low intervention, bone-dry, medium body and light tannin aromatic orange wine made from 100% Avondale Estate Petite Milo grapes.
Winemaker's Notes:
The grapes for this wine were hand-picked and hand sorted from our estate vineyard. They were then crushed and destemmed then fermented in contact with the skins, seeds, and some stems. (The same process used to make a red wine applied to white grapes makes an orange, amber, or skin-contact wine.) After two weeks the wine was pressed and left to age in a neutral Canadian oak barrel for five months. The wine was then bottled unfined and with minimal filtration to maximize the character and mouthfeel.
