Dry, medium bodied red wine. This barrel-aged blend of red wine made from 100% estate grown grapes has balance between fruit and spice, mellow tannins and refreshing acidity, leading to a clean finish. An age worthy red that can cellar for long periods of time and worthy of drinking even in 2035.
Wines from 2020 will show extra richness and fruit-forwardness thanks to a growing season that may have been the warmest on record.
Winemaker's Notes:
Only the ripest fruit from the best parts of our estate vineyard are used in Walton reserve. This wine was fermented in separate vessels using different yeast in order to build complexity into the wine. After four weeks extended skin contact the wines where pressed out and the Maréchal Foch and Lucie Kuhlmann were aged 22 months.
